TPL is creating a space for the Tuscaloosa community to Build, Create, and Explore with technology and crafts. The Teen Zone Lab will be open every Thursday from 3-6pm.

Programs

Preschool Storytime

Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m.

Drop in for a mixed bag of stories, songs, fingerplays and more geared toward preschool children ages 3 to 5 years old. Parents and caregivers are invited to join the fun.


Baby Steps

Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m.

The Baby Steps program consists of simple stories, songs, sign language, and activities to promote positive learning experiences for ages 0-23 months and their parents/caregivers.


Toddler Time

Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m.

Toddler Time consists of stories, songs, activities and crafts.  Parents and caregivers are invited to join the fun.


Reader's Theater

Mondays @ 4:00 pm &
1st Saturday of the month @ 10:30 am

Readers Theater will be a fun, interactive story time where children will listen to a story, think and ask questions about the story, and then become a part of the story by acting it out with their friends. This will be an exciting time with lots of fun characters.

Program Guidelines

  • Please arrive on time.
  • Parent or caregivers must remain in the room with children under 3 years of age at all times.
  • If your child becomes restless, please take him/her out of the Story Castle quietly.
  • To save space, please park strollers outside the Story Castle.
  • Please observe the TPL's NO FOOD or DRINK policy; (properly sealed sippy cups may be given to very young children if necessary).
